This document offers guidance for how community co-authors without scientific writing expertise can meet the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) recommended criteria.

We encourage the use and implementation of the Recommendations and supporting documents by other academic research institutions. Utilize them as written or adapt them to accommodate your situation.
