Mentoring at DPS

Our Division is committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for faculty and trainees through a robust mentorship program. Our comprehensive initiatives include:

• Mentor Matching & Assignment: Trainees are paired with experienced mentors for professional and research development, with a focus on supporting career advancement and successful grant applications (K awards).
• Mentor Training & Resources: We actively support mentor-mentee relationships and are improving resources for mentors, incorporating tailored strategies for high performers and those needing extra support.
• Commitment to DEI: Our program integrates DEI initiatives to support underrepresented individuals through inclusive mentorship efforts.
• Program Evaluation: We continually evaluate our program and solicit feedback to ensure its effectiveness in nurturing the next generation of leaders.
