Qualitative research on community experiences in research trials

Qualitative research methods should be integrated in clinical and community-level HIV trials and implementation studies. Such integration can help not only to understand the why behind success or failure of interventions in different contexts, but also inform the adaptation of interventions that can facilitate success and lead to alternative strategies and policy changes.
