Provider-initiated testing/counseling reduces HIV infection 4 adolescents, but still need other strategies

A study by Simms and colleagues supported provider-initiated testing and counseling (PITC) HIV testing among older children and adolescents in Zimbabwe. However, the study also highlighted the need to implement PITC in combination with additional testing and outreach strategies to effectively reach this key population. (M. Lightfoot, S.
