Primary partners interfered with & supported ART adherence among seroconcordant straight couples, S. Africa

Among straight couples with at least one partner living with HIV, primary partners were described to both interfere with and support adherence to antiretroviral therapy. Negative influences included relationship conflict and men’s attempt to control use of ART. Positive influences included social support, intimacy, and commitment. (A. Conroy, M. Johnson, & L.
