Food insecurity and inflammation among women living with HIV

Food insecurity is associated with higher inflammation (inflammatory biomarkers IL-6 and TNFR1) among women living with HIV in the U.S., regardless of whether their HIV status was undetectable. Findings support the need for HIV care and treatment services to incorporate programming that addresses food insecurity. (A. Leddy & S. Weiser, CAPS/PRC)
