Childhood violence associated with adult intimate partner violence

In rural South Africa, more women than men reported childhood forced sex, whereas more men reported physical violence. Men and women who experienced childhood violence (combined physical and/or sexual) were more likely to experience forced sex by a nonpartner as well as recent intimate partner violence. (S.
