Alcohol use and partner violence among female sex workers in India

Among female sex workers (FSW) in Andhra Pradesh, India, most abused women suffered abuse from multiple partners, often triggered by their inebriation or defiance. Frequency of alcohol use was associated with abuse from clients and primary partners. Partner's alcohol use was only significant for abuse from primary partner. (E. Heylen, W. Steward, & M.
