Elzette Rousseau is a socio-behavioural scientist at the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation (DTHF) with more than 10 years of experience implementing and evaluating community-based sexual and reproductive health services. Currently, she is co-investigator of Fast-PrEP a bridge-to-scale implementation science project providing a choice of PrEP products (oral, vaginal and injectable PrEP) delivered to >20 000 adolescent and young people through differentiated models including mobile clinics, government facilities, courier delivery and peer PrEP clubs. She is also part of South Africa’s National PrEP Technical Working Group.

This talk will cover community-based delivery of current and new PrEP products (including oral dapivirine vaginal ring; and injectable Cab-LA) and the influence of access on adolescent and young people's PrEP use decision-making. We will also touch on some initial PrEP-user segmentation and demand creation insights and strategies.
