Megan Comfort is a Senior Research Sociologist in the Youth, Violence Prevention, and Community Justice Program at RTI International and affiliated faculty at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies at UCSF.  An expert in qualitative methods, her research focuses on the nexus of incarceration, health, and family relationships.  She has published in journals such as AIDS & Behavior, Ethnography, Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, and Journal of Urban Health.  In addition, she is a co-author with RTI colleagues Tasseli McKay, Christine Lindquist, and Anupa Bir of Family Life during Incarceration and Reentry: Parenting and Intimate Relationships of Justice-Involved Men, which is forthcoming with the University of California Press.
