Trauma Informed Approach & Coordinated HIV Assistance and Navigation for Growth and Empowerment (TIA/CHANGE)

Resource

TIA/CHANGE is an evidence-informed intervention designed to improve health outcomes among people with HIV by helping organizations adopt a trauma-informed approach to care. Using a strengths-based model, TIA/CHANGE provides guidance and structure for organizations to understand, recognize, and respond to the effects of trauma in HIV service delivery.

This Implementation Guide was developed through the Using Evidence-Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV (E2i) initiative, which tested TIA/CHANGE within Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) settings and evaluated its impact.

The guide includes practical tools, tips, and resources to support replication of TIA/CHANGE in RWHAP and other HIV service organizations.
