Research for HIV Testing
National HIV Testing Day highlights the vital role of HIV testing in prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and overall community health. Black and African American communities have long been at the forefront of efforts to end the HIV epidemic through advocacy, education, care, and innovation. This e-booklet features HIV testing and prevention research shaped by, for, and with Black/African American communities.
At the UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, we partner with community members, organizations, and leaders to advance equitable access to HIV testing, prevention tools, and care. Together, we work to reduce HIV disparities, address stigma and structural barriers, and support community-driven solutions that promote health and well-being.
This collection highlights research focused on HIV testing, prevention, and engagement in care among diverse communities, including MSM, transgender women, youth, and older adults.
