Do you need to learn how to conduct interviews or hone your interviewing skills? This intensive two-day in-person training offers a comprehensive introduction to core concepts and practical skills in qualitative interviewing. Through a mix of engaging lectures, interactive role-playing, hands-on interview practice, personalized feedback sessions, and real-world case studies, our multifaceted approach ensures participants leave with a robust understanding of qualitative interviewing techniques. Kim Koester and Xavier Erguera are the master interviewers behind the development of this training. They understand how critical it is to create opportunities for trainees to practice interviewing. Practicing builds competence and competent interviewers collect data-rich interviews.

Participants benefit from a comprehensive initial skills assessment which serves as a foundation for personalized learning. Participants then engage in up to 5 hours of interview practice with standardized informants, providing ample opportunity to apply newly acquired skills in a supportive environment. Following each practice session, participants receive personalized feedback, facilitating immediate reflection and growth. At the conclusion of the training, participants receive a personalized training plan and a resource guide designed to support ongoing skill development.
