Dr. Jessica Haberer received her medical degree from Yale University and a master’s degree in health services research from Stanford University. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Haberer has been working in global health and studying adherence to antiretroviral medications for the treatment and prevention of HIV infection since the early 2000s. She worked in Beijing, China with the Clinton Foundation and has been a consultant to the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health. She is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Global Health. Her research focuses on real-time adherence monitoring and intervention with ongoing projects in Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa.
