Hong-Ha M. Truong, PhD, MS, MPH is Associate Professor of Medicine at the UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies. She received her Master’s degrees in epidemiology and community health sciences from UCLA, her doctoral degree in pathobiology from the University of Washington, and completed fellowships in HIV prevention at UCLA and the UCSF Traineeships in AIDS Prevention Studies (TAPS) Program. Dr. Truong’s portfolio bridges HIV epidemiology, virology and behavioral research. Her interdisciplinary studies apply the combination HIV prevention paradigm by integrating biomedical and behavioral approaches aimed at decreasing HIV transmission. Dr. Truong is the principal investigator of three NIH R01 grant awards.
